Privacy Policy

Ketchup ("Ketchup," "we," "us," or "our") is a private video-sharing app operated by Romangic Lab LLC. Ketchup is built for small circles of close friends: there are no public profiles, no public feed, no followers, and no advertising. This Privacy Policy describes the information we process to run Ketchup and the choices you have.

1. Information We Process

Account information. When you create an account, you provide a name or username, your email address or phone number, and your date of birth (used only to confirm you meet our minimum age). You may choose to add a profile photo.

Content. The videos you record in the app, the circles you create or join, and the reactions and replies you send. Everything you share on Ketchup is visible only to members of the circles you choose. There is no way to make content public.

Contacts (optional). If you choose to invite friends, we ask for permission to access your contacts, and use them only to help you send invites. We do not upload or store your address book without your consent, and you can use Ketchup fully without granting this permission.

Camera and microphone. Used only while you are recording. Ketchup never accesses your camera or microphone in the background.

2. Log Data and Analytics

When you use Ketchup we automatically collect log data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, IP address, crash reports, and information about how features are used (for example, whether you shared a video today, which keeps your day count accurate). We use this data in aggregate to keep the service reliable and understand how the app is used.

3. No Ads. We Do Not Sell Your Information

Ketchup shows no advertising. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information or your content to third parties for their own use. We do not use the content of your videos to build advertising profiles, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate Ketchup — cloud hosting and storage, content delivery, crash reporting, and analytics. They process data only on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of your information to providing services to us.

5. When We Share Information

• With your circles. Your videos, profile, and day count are visible to members of the circles you share to. That is the product working as intended.
• For legal reasons. If required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
• Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred with protections consistent with this policy.

6. Managing Your Information; Retention and Deletion

• You can edit your profile information in the app at any time.
• You can delete any video you posted at any time; it is removed from your circles and deleted from our servers.
• You can delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent: your profile and content are removed within 30 days, except for limited records we must keep for legal, security, or abuse-prevention reasons.
• You can also request deletion by emailing support@ketchup.day.

7. Children's Privacy

Ketchup is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and we use a date-of-birth gate at signup. If we learn that a user is under 13, we will delete the account and its data. If you are between 13 and 18, you should use Ketchup with the knowledge and involvement of a parent or guardian.

8. Your Controls

• Permissions. Camera, microphone, contacts, and notifications can each be granted or revoked in your device settings at any time.
• Notifications. You control which notifications you receive in the app. Ketchup does not send guilt or pressure notifications; you will never be penalized for a quiet day.

9. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please use a strong device passcode and keep your account credentials private.

10. U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you live in California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no sale or sharing to opt out of. To exercise any right, email support@ketchup.day; we will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.
